This course offers clinicians and practitioners the tools to recognise and address the common emotional challenges faced by injured athletes and individuals. Participants will learn strategies to enhance emotional agility and improve recovery outcomes, integrating these approaches seamlessly into interactions to improve engagement and provide psychosocial support throughout the rehabilitation process. Additionally, the course will guide professionals in developing a personalised emotional labor management plan, prioritising their own wellbeing to prevent burnout and maintain a high standard of care in their practice.

This online course is led by a Chartered Practitioner Psychologist Dr Carl Bescoby, with extensive expertise in injury rehabilitation, holding a PhD in Psychosocial Management and Rehabilitation.

With a wealth of experience as a Psychologist within Private practice and within a NHS Pain Clinic , he has developed and led training programs across NHS primary and secondary care settings, for clinicians at various stages of their professional journey.

The course is designed to equip rehabilitation professionals, clinicians, and multidisciplinary teams (MDTs) with the knowledge and tools to effectively manage the emotional aspects of rehabilitation, enhancing patient care across diverse clinical environments.
